1. It is important to keep your receipt as it serves as proof of purchase and also shows the type of warranty that was purchased with your part.

  2. Warranties are not transferable and only the individual or business that purchased the part is eligible to make a warranty claim.

  3. Warranty applies to like parts only, and no refund will be given for a defective part if a like part can be provided by one of our vendors.

  4. If a customer purchases a replacement part before HESS AND SONS has had the opportunity to fulfill the warranty, the warranty will be considered void, and the customer will forfeit their claim to a refund.

  5. The warranty starts on the day of purchase.


If you need to make a claim under warranty:

  1. Please notify HESS AND SONS immediately either in person or by calling your representative at 785.238.3382.

  2. Do not remove the part/assembly from the car or disassemble it as doing so will void your warranty and release HESS AND SONS from all obligations.

  3. Allow HESS AND SONS to inspect the vehicle, part, and installation so that we can determine the best course of action.

  4. HESS AND SONS reserves the right to provide replacement parts and/or assemblies as necessary until all options are exhausted, after which a refund will be considered.


Non-defective and unneeded parts are generally non-returnable, but the acting manager has the sole discretion to allow such returns, subject to a 25% restocking fee.


Warranty begins at the time of purchase, and it will be voided if the part is disassembled without HESS’s consent. Claims resulting from overheating, accident, abuse, neglect, alteration, improper maintenance, or improper installation will not be honored, and we reserve the right to have a third-party mechanic verify that the parts were installed correctly in the event of a dispute. Unauthorized returns will not be honored, and return merchandise authorization must be given prior to return. All returned parts must have HESS’s original markings/numbers, and parts that were ordered in error or were not needed are not returnable. Shipping and return costs are refunded at our discretion, and we do not cover return shipping on non-defective items.
